A.W.Olsen & Partners has launched cooperation with the public benefit organisation and business education expert Junior Achievement – Latvija (JAL). As part of this cooperation, the agency will contribute to organising this year’s “Shadowing Day” in the capacity of an information partner. The “Shadowing Day” will take place on 18 February, and the agency will not only consult the organisers on the scheduled activities, but will also advice enterprises on how to use the “Shadowing Day” as an effective public relations tool. “Our agency studies the development of communication and public relations sector and facilitates its growth. It is our prerogative to educate entrepreneurs on the possibilities of public relations instruments
and their effective use therefore we have decided to become co-organisers of the “Shadowing Day”,” comments Olga Kazaka, a partner at A.W.Olsen & Partners.
JAL is one of 113 member organisations of Junior Achievement Worldwide® and since 1991 serves as a bridge between school and business environment professionals, as well as a platform for active and committed youngsters` achievements. Every year JAL provides a variety of business education services and practical work experience to more than 26,000 students all over Latvia.
On 17 December representatives of A.W.Olsen & Partners as members of the Jury Panel participated in the Christmas Fair held in SEB Finance Centre, where representatives of student companies of Junior Achievement – Latvija offered their products and showed their selling skills. This Fair, held for the second consecutive year, enabled the young entrepreneurs to make profit by selling their products and to demonstrate the advantages of their enterprises to the industry professionals, who were evaluating the vendors’ activities throughout the event.
Besides the representatives of A.W. Olsen & Partners, students’ performance was also evaluated by Santa Purgaile, Head of the Department of Corporate Service Support, SEB Bank, Jana Jakovļeva, CEO of JAL, Daina Rugāja, Head of the Publishing House of the School of Business Administration Turība, Ņina Linde, Adviser to the Minister of Education and Science, Vita Brakovska, Project Manager of the Department of Knowledge and Innovation System, LIAA (Investment and Development Agency of Latvia), Antra Slava, a representative of the Bank of Latvia and expert of the European Commission’s Study on developing entrepreneurial skills at schools, Ivars Raciņš, an entrepreneur and graduate of JAL programmes, Līga Sakne, Marketing Director of Still Beverages Sector, Coca-Cola Baltic, and Māris Belovs, Deputy CEO of Ķekava Council.
A.W.Olsen & Partners awarded the title of their favourite contestant to the student company DOMA from Vilis Plūdonis’ Grammar School of Kuldīga, which additionally to being the only enterprise to offer the idea instead of a ready-to-use product had created a unique solution for wholesome use of water resources.
