One of the IPRA GWA 2025 awards for Olsen+Partners was granted in the "Public Sector" category for the campaign "Data is a Value — Protect It!", developed for the Data State Inspectorate. The campaign used a bold social experiment to raise awareness about data security issues among young audiences. A video description of the campaign is available here.
“With the campaign “Data is a Value - Protect It!”, together with Olsen+Partners, we managed to make a complex and often distant topic for the public – personal data protection – simple, understandable, and engaging. Thanks to the creative approach and the bold social experiment, we drew the attention of the public, especially young people, to the importance of privacy in everyday life. We are especially pleased that we managed to reach young people outside their usual digital environment. We are delighted that this collaboration has received international recognition. It confirms that creative and innovative approaches help the public more easily understand complex matters,” says Jekaterina Macuka, Director of the Data State Inspectorate.
Olsen+Partners received the second IPRA GWA 2025 award in the "Climate Change and Literacy" category for the campaign " Sparrows' Diary” developed for the Latvian Environmental Protection Fund. Through 20 fairy tales read by well-known public figures, environmental protection principles were explained to children in an engaging way. More about the campaign can be found here.
“Latvia has two more Oscars – this time in the field of public relations. The IPRA award is known as the Oscar of the PR industry, and it is especially significant for us that this year we received IPRA awards specifically for campaigns in the public administration and environmental sectors. For years, we have purposefully worked to introduce modern communication standards in public administration, while ecological issues are currently at the center of the global agenda. Therefore, the title of the world's best campaign in these categories is a special compliment for us – both for the agency's team and for the entire Latvian creative industry. We proudly consider each of our 11 IPRA awards a testament to the quality of Latvian creativity on an international scale,” says Olga Kazaka, co-founder and partner of Olsen+Partners.
For over thirty years, the IPRA GWA awards have recognized the best communication projects worldwide, based on criteria such as project complexity, creativity, originality, and impact at local, national, regional, or global levels. "This year's submissions were so outstanding that we awarded split prizes for several works," notes Philip Sheppard, IPRA Secretary-General, adding that this year only 47% of the winning campaigns were implemented in Europe, while the rest were in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and America.
The projects submitted to the competition were evaluated by a competent jury consisting of experts from around the world, including Bulgaria, Brazil, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Australia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the USA. The awards ceremony will take place this October in Ghana.
