Clients need to receive an answer to their vital communication and business issues, rather than a single advertising campaign, a press release or promotion in the social media environment. With this in mind the agencies should be offering package solutions, and not single communication tools. This is the key European trend, which was communicated at the meeting of the international communication network Scholz & Friends, held at the end of April in Berlin.
Major trends, which are observed in Europe in the communication sector, deal with budget cuts, which result in the agencies seeking new creative and low-budget solutions, not to mention such critical aspect as incorporation of the social media into the general communication strategy.
Optimisation of the marketing and advertising materials currently becomes typical. Namely, more often than not the companies operating in the countries with dear labour force tend to move its production – e.g. filming commercials in the countries where the labour force is cheaper.
“Each European country e experiences its own side-effects of the global financial crises and its actual impact on the communication sector. However, an essential tendency, common for all countries, is that clients today seek answers to particular communication assignments, not merely a representative of this or that service. This inevitably leads to the agencies offering a full spectre of communication services, mastering their mutual integration, and not limiting themselves to use of single tools and directions,”- observes the partner of the communication agency A.W.Olsen & Partners/Scholz & Friends Riga.
