What is the best way to communicate an event on Facebook

Let’s imagine that we represent Improvisation Theatre "X", which is performing a play. What is the best way to present this information to Facebook users? We offer 5 practical tips from A.W.Olsen & Partners/Scholz & Friends Riga: 1. Create an "Event" and invite friends who could be interested in the play. Use Facebook advertising and specify the target audience accurately. 2. The slower you go, the farther you get. Instead of creating a single, lengthy description of the play and re-publishing it every few days with additional text, do the following: "Hurry up, just Y days left!" publish one description that contains all the key facts and every few days create additional shorter messages, each of them revealing new details about the event. For example, one of the performers will be a guest artist who has acquired the art of improvisation in New York, or reveal the secret that music will be provided by DJ I’m Pro whose music is like honey to everyone’s ears. You may add a link to the full description of the event. 3. Be creative! An example: create a poster with the key information about the event. Find people who agree to be photographed with this poster. Add a caption explaining what they think of improvisation theatre, having fun and laughter. Post the pictures in your Facebook profile. 4. Post exciting behind-the-scenes pictures on Facebook. Followers feel tempted to check occurrences that are not available for everyone. This way, you make a subtle reminder of the event. 5. Organise competitions. Offer tickets to the event as a prize. If required, involve administrators of other Facebook pages in offering these tickets as competition prizes, thus reaching out to an even wider circle of Facebook users. Facebook users feel the "sweat" or excessive effort behind the message – try to be creative when writing news and the readers will be more likely to attend your event. Good luck!
